I Have a Melody in my Pulse : Deepti Naval

Her poems are intense, palpable, strong sensory experiences, you are travelling with her, chasing evening shadows in the long corridors of an asylum, breathing in a sea, entering inside an abandoned church, drenched in rains!

“She follows where her aesthetics lead her, and lives life on her own terms, as she wants to be. She looks too real, too practical, a total contrast to what she is… ‘Her dreams looking for the real, and her reality chasing a dream.’ “

I Have a Melody in my Pulse

I have a melody in my pulse

The rhythm of the cosmos
Runs down here

You could hear it, if you would hear
With your fingertips

Do you look at the stars, and see them?
Without eyes?

There are sounds here, hear them?
When you touch stone or gravel
Leaf or wind

Do you feel the
Translucence of your soul?

Do you touch earth, when you walk?

Touch life, as you live

Are you?
When you are…
